Earlier versions of the AirPods were not very well suited for workouts. They lacked some of the basics required like sweat resistance and secure fitting, these shortcomings have been addressed in the latest version of the new Apple Airpods Pro specifications address all these issues.

The new silicon tips come in multiple sizes and provide a much improved secure fit unrivalled by the earlier models, but have some thought competition from the likes of the Beats Powerbeats Pro or Jabra Elite 65t.

The earbuds built in button allows you to switch between Transparent and noise isolation modes. So – if you’re in the gym and there is music in the background – you can isolate that noise, but if you’re walking across the road you can activate transparent mode for safety reasons. Toggling the setting is easy with the new responsive button on the earpiece.

The battery life gives you up to 4.5 hours and a 5 min quick charge will top it up for another hour. Their IPX4-rating gives good defence against sweat, but you won’t want to be getting to frisky around water with them. They are also shorter than their predecessors making them lighter, more stable and less likely to catch on clothing.

Workout readiness – The Apple’s AirPods Pro specifications include noise cancellation and quality sound makes them a perfect fit for your gym and running workouts.Answering calls, skipping tracks and toggling isolation modes are all effortless with Hey Siri or the builtin button. As with all Apple devices they are limited when it comes to compatibility with Android or other devices outside their own ecosystem. So don’t expect anything from Hey Siri. If you don’t have an Apple watch or iPhone at this price range I wouldn’t recommend these earbuds as you won’t get the best experience, with that said – if you do have Apple devices your in for a real treat.
